After first reading a book given to me by this author last year, I have quickly fallen in love with the writing style and the stories she comes up with. She is very much a go to author and a firm favourite. I purchased my copy of this book from Barnardo’s charity shop which is local to me after being on my to buy list for some time.

Blurb/Synopsis When Carey Revell unexpectedly becomes the heir to Mossby, his family’s ancestral home, it’s rather a mixed blessing. The house is large but rundown and comes with a pair of resentful relatives who can’t be asked to leave.
Still, newly dumped by his girlfriend and also from his job as a TV interior designer, Carey needs somewhere to lick his wounds. And Mossby would be perfect for a renovation show. He already knows someone who could restore the stained glass windows in the older part of the house…
Angel Arrowsmith has spent the last ten years happily working and living with her artist mentor and partner. But suddenly bereaved, she finds herself heartbroken, without a home or a livelihood. Life will never be the same again – until old friend Carey Revell comes to the rescue.
They move in to Mossby with high hopes. But the house has a secret at its heart: an old legend concerning one of the famous windows. Will all their dreams for happiness be shattered? Or can Carey and Angel find a way to make this house a home?
My Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 Stars There is something quite familiar about Trisha’s books in that it’s like coming home and putting your favourite slippers on. The comfort they bring is like nothing else. And just like that Trisha’s books are encompassing, bring warmth and comfort. This book is no exception. I’ve read this amidst the current heat wave the UK is currently experiencing and longed for the cold weather in the book to cool me down. Recently bereaved Angel not only losing her partner but seemingly banished from her home by the decidedly ghastly and unforgiving son of her partner hands her notice in at the business she and Julian had spent a decade happily together finds herself quite at a lose as were life will go from here. When up pops Carey her oldest and best friend, entices and ignites a flame of intrigue to move to his surprising inheritance that is Mossby. What lies in wait and what will the future bring for Angel will she find her happy ever after? A delightful, charming, charismatic and uplifting story. With a touch of humour and history thrown in. I particularly enjoyed that aspect and finding out the secrets of Mossby and the Revell family.
